Mr. Golden has an eclectic background, and extensive litigation experience. Mr. Golden has successfully argued two cases before the Court of Appeals. In one case, Court agreed with Mr. Golden's argument, and curtailed the powers of one of New York City's administrative agencies. In the other, he convinced the Court to change New York law on a crucial issue of insurance coverage. Since then, that case has been cited over 600 times by courts, secondary sources, expert opinion reports, and other appellate briefs. It was also cited by Mealey's Litigation Reports as one of the nation's ten most significant insurance coverage decisions of the year. He has argued numerous cases before New York's other appellate courts as well. One of his cases from 2013 was the subject of a front page article in New York's legal newspaper.
Mr. Golden also litigates a variety of commercial and real estate cases at the trial court level. Some of Mr. Golden's past accomplishments include successfully moving to dismiss a ten million dollar cause of action filed by a major telecommunications provider, obtaining judgments in cases based on breach of contract (one case over $1.6 million), and successfully moving to dismiss a million dollar sister state judgment on constitutional grounds. He has won a trial and appeal, in which the court awarded his client with title to a residential building, even though his client had no recorded deed for the premises. He has also successfully moved to dismiss personal injury cases, one involving a party's death through his client's alleged negligence.
